We are a Bengaluru agro-realty company. We help families buy farmland in their own name, and then we farm it for them, properly, for the long haul.
Started with a simple question.
Why does so much farmland lie bare after people buy it? Usually the owners live in the city, farming is hard work, and there is nobody on the ground they can trust.
SmartAgro was started to change that. We buy and develop farmland, register each plot in the buyer’s name, and then run the whole thing as a proper farm: Indian sandalwood as the long-term crop, with intercrops, a dairy and orchards keeping the land busy in between.
Today we manage farms near Lepakshi and Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh, with a corporate office in Sahakara Nagar, North Bengaluru.
One farm at a time, each one still ours to run.

Ramchandra Kiran Kumar
A software engineer by profession and an environment-centric entrepreneur by choice. With experience in construction, Kiran was always looking for answers to social, economic and environmental problems.
Agro-realty became his answer: a way to make farmland productive for its owners, help meet India’s demand for timber, and benefit the environment while doing it. His goal is to make SmartAgro one of the most respected agro-realty companies in the country.
He was recognised with the Outstanding Entrepreneur Achievement Award for building a structured, transparent managed farmland model.

I am glad to have invested in the Timber Farms project by Smart Agro. After viewing a number of Agri Investment projects, found this to be aligning with my outlook of Investment as well as Lifestyle/Leisure combined into one, coupled with a value for money price point.
