Sandalwood farmland, near Bengaluru.

GreenX is SmartAgro’s managed sandalwood farmland near Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh, on the NH-544E corridor about 90 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport.

You choose a ½ acre or 1 acre plot, registered in your name. Our team plants certified Indian sandalwood saplings with host trees, grows seasonal intercrops between the rows, and runs the farm over a 15-year managed cycle.

The red soil near Hindupur (pH around 7.1) and a 10–40°C temperature range suit sandalwood. Water comes from several sources: canals, bore-wells, a lined farm pond, rainwater harvesting and drip lines.

What your plot produces

One plot, three parts.

Sandalwood, at year 15

Your share of the heartwood harvest is 70%, as set out in your agreement. We handle the regulated harvest and transport permissions and linkage to authorised buyers. Heartwood grades and prices are set at harvest, not in advance.

Intercrops, every season

Sandalwood needs host plants, so the rows stay cropped for the full cycle. Your share of intercrop produce is 60%. What is planted is decided each season on soil and market conditions.

The land, in your name

Registered directly in your name at the Sub-Registrar Office. It stays yours after the 15 years; renewal or exit options are presented at the end of the cycle.

Is growing sandalwood legal?

Yes. Cultivating sandalwood on private agricultural land is legal in India. GreenX follows applicable Andhra Pradesh and central government rules, and SmartAgro manages harvest and transit documentation.

Is GreenX in Bengaluru?

No. GreenX is near Lepakshi in Andhra Pradesh, just across the Karnataka border on NH-544E, about 90 minutes from Kempegowda International Airport.

What plot sizes are available?

½ acre and 1 acre plots. Current prices and payment schedules are shared in writing by our team, or on the GreenX project website.

What happens after 15 years?

You keep the land. At the end of the cycle we present renewal or exit options, with no obligation to continue the management arrangement.
