Home / Farm life

Weekends on the farm, with the family.

Most owners come for the plantation and keep coming back for the Sunday lunches, the cows and the quiet. Here is what a day at GreenX looks like, and how we look after the land.

Farm life

Bring the kids. Stay the night.

Buying farmland isn’t only about the crop. We built the GreenX campus so that families actually spend time on the land they own.

Meet the herdChildren love the Gir cows. The farm loves their manure, which goes straight back into the soil.

Gardens and lawns at the GreenX farm

I am glad to have invested in the Timber Farms project by Smart Agro. After viewing a number of Agri Investment projects, found this to be aligning with my outlook of Investment as well as Lifestyle/Leisure combined into one, coupled with a value for money price point. It has been a smooth process so far with Madhukar (Sales Lead) in the forefront as a point of liaison and fulfillment. He's been transparent, honest and empathizes well with the customers. Kiran, the MD, is also pretty accessible and humble personality. He's got a great vision and I hope he succeeds in materialising the same for himself and his Clients. I trust that the remaining post registration processes are also completed smoothly, along with the amenities at the Timber farm. Overall it has been a great experience so far.

I had a really fun time today in their site near Pavgada. I’m really thankful for the experience and hospitality by Dr Vilas Patil. He is an experienced and knowledgeable Forestry Specialist. I think the SmartAgro team is ahead of its competitors in overall terms and sustainability as well.

Impact

Good farming is good for the land.

Much of this land was dry and unused when we took it on. Today it has trees, crops between the rows, a dairy and a pond full of rainwater.

How we farm

How we look after the land.

Long-cycle trees

Sandalwood and host trees add lasting green cover to land that was bare or under-used.

Mixed cropping

Host trees and intercrops alongside the main crop support soil health and biodiversity.

Water care

Drip irrigation, lined ponds and rainwater harvesting make every drop go further.

Organic inputs

Cow manure and organic nutrition from on-farm dairies feed the soil.

Pollinators

Bee-keeping at PomX supports pollination in the orchard.

Clean energy

Rooftop solar and an on-site wind turbine help power the GreenX campus.

Honest reporting

What we can show you today.

We can tell you how many trees we have planted and how many acres we look after. Regular soil and water readings across all our farms are still a work in progress. We will publish them once the numbers are reliable, not before.
